My motley het albino bred to my albino motley has had an intermediate shed between her post ovulation shed and parturition for two seasons in a row now. She is due on March 23 and had her second shed about three weeks ago. I too was a little concerned last year when she went through the same process, but was thrilled when she gave birth 104 days after the first post ovulation shed.

I know there are others who have witnessed the same obseravation and have ended up with healthy litters.

I'm not saying that your female is truley gravid I'm just saying that it does happen. The only thing you can do is wait.

Good luck with the litter.
