Useing 4" flexwatt hooked up to a thermostat. I dont have a lot of tools and renting them for such a small project is too expensive. I wanted to know around what temps will the plastic start to melt. The reason I am asking is I cant make a recess for the flexwatt and the little plastic feet on the tubs might touch the heat tape depending on how i can make it. Also once I put in all the stuff the bottom of the tub might bow down a little and touch the tape so I just wanted to make sure it wont melt if it touches the tape. I try to run it at 88-90 degrees and have a backup thermostat set to 95 as an emergency backup. Would 95 degrees cause the plastic to melt? [ Hide Replies ]
