Posted by: Omnivorous at Fri Mar 13 17:43:15 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Omnivorous ] I recently purchased some 11" flexwatt from Helix Controlls Inc. and they did all the wireing/hookups. I asked for it cut to 48.75" long wich is an odd length that doesnt match up to the "cut here" breaks. It also has the wave type elements between the conector bars. Its not the straight element type so the cut was made through a couple portions of it. Its the type that looks like this ^^^^^^^^^^^^ instead of ___________ between the conectors on each side, so it was not possible to make a cut where it didnt go through the black element heat part. They insulated the conections and allong each side where it was cut with some Scotch 3M 69 Glass Cloth Class H Electrical Tape and it works fine. The Helix guy told me that the black electrical tape would work too but they use a more expensive type thats also rated for heat. I dont believe its a problem as long as you insulate the cut. | ||
