My 4' woma is acting weird by corkscrewing it's head around in unnatural poses and what not. Until I can get it to a vet for an actual diagnosis I'll assume it's IBD. The is the only boid I own so the rest of my collection should be riskless, as I understand it. If it's actually IBD, I'm not sure I have any clue where it came from.

I went back 3 pages on the forum here and read the last big IBD discussion but wasnt able to find the info I'm looking for.

What I want to know is this....
If I have a symptomatic animal at home, what sort of precautions do I need to take as far as hanging out with other herpers or being exposed to other collections? Should I pretend that the disease is like the plague and not have any contact with anyone or anything until my woma is either euthanized or diagnosed with something else? Can I carry it? Is it as basic as "wash your hands after handling the animal" or something like that?
If I keep the woma in a room with other snakes, and I breed those snakes, do I need to concerned about the offspring carrying the IBD seed as well?
