Todd,
I would try raising the 2' cage up a little, maybe some 1/4 inch slats of wood to start with?? Maybe thicker if it is still too hot on the floor of the other cage. It will allow some airflow, and help keep the temps down a bit in the 2' gage. I have had to do this with visions as well some times. Good luck!!!!! Keep us posted.
