I am working on transcribing the entire HB 1500 hearing so people who wish to write follow-up letters will know specifically what they need to address.



The biggest one is that at least one of the legislators thinks we're taking kids out herping on the shoulders of I-10. Pedestrians on interstates, to my knowledge, are illegal so this is not an issue; also, the legislators could probably use some good photos of just how big some rights-of-ways are (especially those with sizeable road cuts) so they have a better feel for what we're talking about.



Unfortunately the hard drive where I saved the hearing's media stream (50 GB!) is dead or nearly so--I'm going to work tonight to salvage it--so my efforts are temporarily suspendeded until I get that problem fixed. However, if you wish to read Major Sinclair's testimony I have it "finished" and posted right here!
