"normal" is to have a POS, then the next shed shortly after giving birth. But, snakes are illeterate and can't read the manual. I had one female with not just one but two interim sheds give birth to a nice healthy litter. This year the same female is a month overdue from what I thought was her POS. Or she's got two more months to go from her next shed. But, she looks like a full term mom ready to pop any day so I'm on the daily check (and re-checked a few times) routine. IMO there's no way she can hold onto them for another month.

That may be the "waxy stool" that comes within days of giving birth.
