Nightcrawlers are cheaper than pinkies, easier to acquire, and just as easy to keep. You can pick them up at MANY stores including some gas stations, they cost about $2 for a container of 12 (or less, that's just the price across the street from my house) and you just keep them in the fridge in the cup they came in. You would want to supplement the snake's diet with calcium-dusted crickets or other insects from time to time as well. Wayne can tell you a lot more about a good feeding regiment than I can for this species and he may have a care sheet on his website. The funny thing about greens (on both continents) is that they will not eat food that is wider than their head. [ Hide Replies ]
