This is my first year trying to breed ball pythons. My balls have been cycled (along with all of the other python species in my collection) since last October, and I have recorded multiple copulations with every pair I put together. I have not seen a definitive ovulations, although I have noticed that my males have lost some interest, and copulations have become more infrequent.



I usually keep things on a 6 month on / 6 month off cycling program. I am located in the Southeast and my cool or cycling months are October - March. Now is the time that I begin raising my room temps back to “Summer” temperatures.



My question is this: should I continue to cycle my bps by not increasing their rack temps? Or, should I go ahead & start raising them back up to Summer temps as well? I’ve been breeding green tree pythons for many years, and my room set-up is really geared around them. I would like to start getting the balls back to normal temps because many of my animals have been off feed since the onset of cycling; however, I don’t want to diminish my chances of getting eggs.



Any thoughts would be appreciated.
