I have always fed my females and males when they are separated as long as they are willing to eat. However, the portions are about 1/2 the size I normally feed and the frequency is much less, about every 2 to 3 weeks. I just feel it gets the animals through the season without the extreme loss of body mass. My females/males come out of having their litters without much weight/size loss. However, I stop feeding the females when they are about a month out from their due date. | ||
