I have a BCI Red Tail boa, about a month or so ago I moved him up in size to small rats. a small rat didn't hold him long so I bumped him med size ( but on the small end of med) anyway, he has eaten 4 and still has not had a BM. I gave him a good soak 2 weeks ago, and he went into blue 2 days later and shed less then week later (he fastest shed ever)

How much longer should I wait for a BM?

a little background on him. I got him from a pet shop that was being forced to close. I was there when they were getting all the animals out of there and no one wanted him so I took him. I was told he was over a year old and he was 17 inches, he had not been fed in weeks, he was not in the right kind of set up at all. This was in June 2008 (last summer) he first shed was so bad!

He is now 28 inches long and sheds great! He is in the correct set up too.Truth be told, I have never had a snake and didn't know how to care for him. But I have since done a lot of research and I am still learning. My plan is (was) to get him healthy and give him to a good home. If I had not of taken him that day, they would have killed him

From day one he rarely has BM's. I thought maybe it was because his body was taking in all the rats and they was nothing left to poop out, and that still might be.He does pass urine. and he does have BM's but that are far apart.

Since he has been moved up to rats that have fur, shouldn't he pass the fur?

any advice & tips you all can give me would be great. I would love to post some picture's of him if someone tells me how.

Thank you!

oh......I only feed frozem/thawed prey.I will never fed live!
