That is cool they dont try to beat each other up. If she didnt fill in the hole I bet she didnt lay eggs in it, she probably just wants her own home, the fact that she is protecting can be a sign she layed eggs but you would should have seen a weight change in her if she had viable eggs, anyway they are no good now if they were fertile. Also it's possible they could get out if the hole collapses open to the outside world, they dont dig up to get out but I have had a similar thing happen. KB
