Bioactive Substrate/ Vivarium for Snakes

I have been reading the book "The Art of Keeping Snakes" by Philippe de Vosjoli and I really want to set up a naturalistic vivarium for my BRB at some point. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has a setup that uses his ideas of a bioactive substrate with plants and hides that allow the snakes to be seen or rather enjoyed?



If you have read this book or employ the authors techniques or even some variation of them, could please explain your setup or show some pictures?
