I love your set up! Is that a DIY or Neodesha? I'd love to clone it and stick it in my herp room. You just have no idea how good it would look in there.

As for substrate, I like sand. I purchase either fine or med from HD and have had no problems. I do keep impaction risks in mind and always watch the consistency and frequency of stools of the critters.
