It sounds like you saw pre ovulation swelling(follicle development and maturing) .
I'm thinking you should be seeing some sort of ovulation or it already occurred.
When the male looses interest this time it should be an indication.
Sometimes they don't ovulation those big foot ball sized ovulations.
Many times its a slow moving process(SMO) hard to detect,but
noticeable if you understand what's happening.
