Thanks for the answers you two.
I know that the snails carry something that is hard on the Bufos here. Expecially toads that have been exposed to roundup & have immune problems.
But I wasn't sure about the turtles. (not that mine are exposed to roundup!)
I was out in turtle village today and found a hatchling that I released last fall. wowee, doubled in size. I am always throwing in slugs/snails/worms/etc and there are lots of roly polys. When I read about other peoples turtles that come running when they bring food, I'm always jealous cuz mine won't eat if I stay around. I guess that they get enough from hunting on their own...
