They go crazy ferocious over taods and yes they eat them.

The ground venison is used as a base mixed with chopped fruits and veggies and turtle sticks and mixed up and then rolled up into cookie dough sized balls, then frozen on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Then once frozen you can put the frozen balls in a zip lock baggy and put back in freezer, that way they won't stick togather. Then you can just take out how many balls you need the night before feeding to thaw for the next mornings feed. It's a convienent well balanced way to feed, kind of a variation of the old home-made fish and shrimp based frozen fish foods thats been in use forever, the garter snake people also use a version of this that is salmon or trout based instead.
