Once I formed the opening, basically installing a litter dam, I took the cage to a local glass shop & had them cut & install the track & sliding glass doors. They charged me about $140. They sit on rollers and don't just slide along the track.
That was the first one I built. On the 2nd one I decided to try drop-down doors to see which style suited my needs & desires the best. While I saved about $125 on the drop-down door cage I had more building time invested. Definitely two different styles as far as appearance & functionality goes. I think I like the drop-down doors better. For both, appearance and functionality.
I see that Randy posted a photo of the condo he built. He put a lot of details in that condo. More than I put in my shanties. One thing he did was on the bottom cages he made the doors with removable hinges - to where the doors can drop down but also can be lifted up & out of the way.
Catch ya later!
