This would be a horrible experience for us all! This is a personal shot to our freedom I feel. For me, this is the most enjoyment in life (reptiles in general, but dogs and such as well) other than family. I have an Unknown Stomach condition that has costed me ALL my jobs in the past, to the point where the doctors said that my best bet would be disability, and I am 22 years old. The pain I go through on a DAILY basis, I wish on NO ONE. With that being said a hobby is the best thing to fall back on to keep my spirits up.
To vote yes on HR669 would be to say yes to take more of our rights as people away. The hard working people that run large scale pet shops or private breeders are at stake here. And this bill does not affect just reptiles. It affects All Animals! On the video I watched from BHB Reptiles really broke it down for me. To have your kids have Gerbils or Hamsters breed by accident would break a violation of HR669 and would be taken and terminated most likely. HOW INHUMANE!! I love the thought of me having Boa Constrictors because they 'make me tick'. I have never had so much interest in one thing until reptiles came into play. I cannot get enough of learning the Bio's of Boas and everything inbetween just so I can shed knowledge to the next generation. I am always showing my friends children my Boas and telling them about them. They are such a important role in our eco-system (the world) and people should know about them.
Now with all of this being said, this is on a spiritual happiness scale, what about the people who have families to support and all they know is captive breeding of ANY animal furry or scaley?
NO ON HR669! NO ON HR669! NO ON HR669! NO ON HR669! NO ON HR669!
