Honestly I do not know that PETA had anything to do with it. I will check with the store and have them look into it. The store I deal with is definitely opposed to PETA and I suspect it is more their partnership with the rescue backing Petco Foundation and Petfinder. Both Petco and Petsmart partner with area rescues to assist in placement of rescue and shelter animals. Petco is the only one that supports reptile rescue however. Petsmart does not feel there are unwanted reptiles.
