One way to kill the bill - point out that CT ALREADY requies an importation permit for all wildlife, whether native or not. There are exceptions for certain species that are common in the pet trade and don't pose a risk to native species. I was told (when trying to place turtles into CT) to contact the CT Department of Environmental Protection to see if the adopter could obtain an import permit.
