He's about five years old, and I had him on a sand substrate as well.  After a week of his left eye being shut, I moved him out and onto tile.  It stayed closed for close to a month later, but since then there haven't been any complications.  My guess would be the sand, but I cannot be certain.  I do know I wont be moving him back to it any time soon, or at all...  Not a good answer, but I hope everything works out for you! [ Hide Replies ]
