As you found...hissers wouldn't be the best choice for gex. I have a colony for my savannah monitors. But for the leopard gex I have lobster roaches. The hissers will outgrow a feedable size for most gex within a week. They are also slower to reproduce so it is easier and more efficient to get a smaller roach species.
