Even if 669 dies, it' a good idea to do a "meet and great" with your elected official so he or she understands his or her consituents and realizes what the problem is (or isn't) should this come up again. Most officials have two or three offices across your state as well as in DC, so you can probably set up a meeting not far from where you live. A couple of years ago, I arranged to meet my state rep (not the federal rep) for a Saturday morning chat in a Starbucks that was convienent for both of us. |
