Dry Food for Cyclura Mazuri and others

My 6 month old Grand Cayman Hybrid from D. Blair had a taste of the dry food and won't switch back to his greens. I was wondering if anyone had this problem. I was gone for a week and had used Mazuri tortoise food mix with other dry iguana food as his diet. Now I try to feed him kale and other greens but he just won't eat. Also is it not a good idea to just feed him the dry food. I read in the iguana manual that it's not ideal to only feed them dry food. Would there be long term effects if he doesn't switch back to greens?
