I applaud your thinking and wanting to take the fight to them, these are some of the worst case cenerios I could come up with I really am not paranoid LOL...
I see a possible problem with this and that is we would be alerting many snake and reptile "haters" that otherwise do not know about our hobby/business.That may help the opposistion gain more power or could even create a new enemy.
That could be opening a pandoras box, What if lets say you are asked to do an interview or are just seen on t.v and you are recognized by a home owners association member or home insurance agent? I for one had my home owners insurance canceled for keeping reptiles.
I live next door to a comunity that has laws on the books that as written makes it illegal for you to own a snake over 5 feet in length. I really think the best way to fight this is through solidarity in our community, just a bad feeling about taking this into the public lime light.
I am very careful not to let my neighbors know that I keep snakes, not illegal just don't want the trouble, next door neighbor called the police on mre for hanging a couple of deer in my garage, she would probably call the FBI on me for keeping snakes.
Oh and I am sure there would be people bringing out there largest animals for shock value, there would be some incident where someone was bitten etc..etc... It could even go as far as child endangerment (in the publics eye) if they saw you with children. The bottom line is most people HATE snakes.
Again not attacking your idea I just think it could possibly backfire on what was intended. We just had a great rally, just the kind we needed. As stated earlier solidarity is the answer.
Andy if I am not mistaken you are already a member of USARK to those of you who are not, please join USARK that is one of the best things to do right now.
Please excuse my spelling I ahd to type this one up fast.
(I am really not Paranoid) just looking at it from different angles.
