It looks to me like they conclude there is in fact is a low genetic difference (ie, all the populations are closely related.) No surprise there, since all the circumstantial evidence points to the Hurricane theory; however, don't the authors also say that this low genetic difference could be because of the limited gene pool of captive bred pythons? If that's the case, what's the point? Was the DNA of captive pythons done for comparison? | ||
