"This puppy was refused admission to Norway"
HEading at net-edition of "Dagbladet" one of Norway´s 3 most read national newspapers. Translated word right and true to objectivity to the best of my ability;
"Man (40) stopped with puppydog, snakes, spiders and dead rats at Svinesund this night"

"Stopped at the border: The man who came with the puppy didn´t have his papers in order, so the puppy could not enter Norway. Now it is delivered to the fod safety authority. Photo: Norwegian customs.
(Dagbladet): The customs officers at Svinesund came over a special smugling attempt last night.
When they stopped and checked a 40 year old northman (norwegian) on his way into the country, It became apparent that he really wasn´t alone in the car.
- We found living snakes, two spiders and a small puppydog in his baggage. In addition had a bag with dead rats that we think are meant as food for the snakes. In addition he had 33 grams of hasj in the car, says Wenche Fredriksen in the East Norway customs department to Dagbladet.
According to Fredrikstad Blad (small newspaper in Fredrikstad) the man has explained to the customs officers that he had picked up the animals in Copenhagen and Göteborg.
- He had absolutely no papers for the animals, something one must have to transport animals into Norway. All the animals are delivered to Mattilsynet (The Food Safety Authority), who will handle them in the future, says Fredriksen to Dagbladet.
The man is now reported to the police and will be questioned by the police.
Office Chief Fredriksen says that they often confiscate such animals.
- But it is not every day that we have all the animals in one confiscation, says Fredriksen.

Please pass on this article to support Dagbladet´s attempt to reach the responsible reader. Pass on to your favorite newspaper too, so create a link between the two newspapers and recruit more good news to their board of responsible editors.
I think this is what the AR activists have been doing all these years, only, we have cooler pictures and more sustainable and environmentally friendly opinion.
These animals face euthenasia very very soon, if they are still alive that is, because of Norwegian animal welfare principles.
I type up sample letter for your convenience. send as is or type in the biggest rant from the bottom of your heart. If you would like to help the puppydog, please send an email to Dagbladet at 2400@db.no

Please use "in defence of snakes in danger" as subject.
Dear Dagbladet,
Please direct this letter to the Food Safety Authority, I fear their firewall sometimes eats my opinions out of existence.
Thank you in advance.
If you will, also check out our HR669 and compare to your positive list.

Dear Food Safety Authority
Perhaps not by intent but at least in consequence you are a disgrace to the Kingdom of Norway, please do not punish animals for the crimes of other people.
Please, do not kill the puppydog, he has tender feelings towards his companion and a strong wish to live! Also, my experience companion snakes have no death wish! With respect to the inherent value of animals which is a pillar in your animal welfare legislation, do these animals have no right to live with their proper companion?
(Add at least 2 lines of advice and oppinion and please include your feelings in order to make your letter unique and perhaps add a photo of one of your animals, preferably with you in it. Or even better, respond whole heartedly, in hope that Dagbladet will publish parts of your letter or your pic.)
Please, consider giving back the animals when the quarantine period is over, if you find that they do not carry any parasites, nor pose a threat to the Kingdom of Norway.
After you are done punishing the 40-year old animal companion, could he not have his friends back please?
Please reply to (your e-mail)
Kindest regards

I believe in the ethics of true journalism and the newspapers who harbor journalists who engage in responsible companion animal friendship.
I think if animal friendly US newspapers, can be put in contact with companion animal friendly newspapers abroad, they will have more cards to play to our advantage.
The AR newspapers are already in constructive cooperation with each other, and have been for many years.
Kindest regards
