Hey Eby... I might be able to help you with Green Toads! I noticed that they tend to breed in deeper water like Red-spotted toads... Last year I found a area that pooled up to 12 inches or so of water, and it was loaded with red-spotted toads and greens. No spadefoots in there at all... Probably 30 greens and hundreds of red-spotted... The way I find them is to cruise with the windows down and listen for toad calls, and when you hear a ton, go check it out!! I also find them under cover alot. Might help, might not! lol..
