I've been considering getting an Irian Jaya Carpet Python; if I get one as a hatchling, about how long do you think a 20gal long tank would be suitable?

I have a cabinet/stand type piece of furniture on which my corn's tank sits, and it also has a shelf where another 20gal long (or a tank of similar length but taller) could fit. With that in mind, I'd rather start off with a smaller tank for now, and upgrade to a larger enclosure--suitable for an adult carpet--later, as at that point I'll just toss out the cabinet, get two stacking enclosures, and my corn and the python will get a tank upgrade.
