There are two lineages of "bright colored" bullsnakes sold under the term hypo: the lineage descended from normals purchased at the Stillwater Round-up and descendednts from the Colorado line of hypomelanism. I also agree that the Stillwater "hypo" is a bit of a misnomer, but it is recognized by that name.



That means 2 for the short answer, and evidence says that they are NOT allelic.
