We have been keeping pits for a little over 35 years now. And we dearly love them all and keep most of them. But the Northerns and the Bulls are our addiction. LOL

As far as length they are really about the same when you get the northerns from New Jersey Strains and Bulls from the South Texas area. With the bulls being a little heavier in relationship to length in our experience.

While occasionally you will see giants in any species. Both average around 7' and are huge animals. It never ceases to amaze me the number of 8'+ animals you here about only to have them shrink when faced with a measuring tape to a really heavy bodied solid 6 1/2' - 7'+ animals that is indeed a huge animal, but nowhere near 8'+.
