Childrens husbandry is considered to be identical to that of Spotted pythons. You will find more info out there on Spotteds.

Its pretty much "standard practice" stuff. They are hardy snakes. Feed it up a bit and it won't bite. Its probably just hungry. I've found them to be very docile and laid back, especially as adults. Fun, underrated snakes.
