Tenth pic down showing the male (?) with his neck totally puffed out is my favorite! What a "bad a#*" , gotta love a snake with that much personality. Nice looking snakes. I used to only see sayi in the wild but haven't seen a wild one in 5 years.



I was doing some vegetation community mapping and plant surveys in southern Utah a few weeks ago and we did manage to see one really nice great basin gopher (sorry no pics). we were headed into a region with intense bright red sandy soils when I left the project but I told my mates to keep an eye out for "red" substrate adapted individuals.....so maybe we will get some images of nice red deserticola eye candy...
