To myself and many others HB1500, HB3079 and HB3391 is not what I would call a "mosquito" ban.



If you have never been herping in TX you probably don't understand what a huge thing it is for many people. For me it is the highlight of my year and I have been doing it every year since 1996. I even bought property out there so I can retire and spend my "golden years" herping there.



I think I have seen you post pictures of Rhacodactylus geckos before. If they are your favorite species try to imagine what it would be like for you to be able to go out and collect your own breeding stock, then to have that right taken away from you. You would want it back, I'm sure. We have spent large amounts of our own money to hire and lobbyist and put in time establishing relationships with politicians to create a bill which would give every herper the right to return to the roads and collect within legal bag limits. In fact you cannot even touch a herp for photography or move it across the road to save it's life right now in Texas.



As far as 669 goes, I have written letters of opposition as have many others involved in HB1500. One does not preclude the other.
