Posted by: Ralph Davis at Tue May 19 12:16:07 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Ralph Davis ] California bill AB1120 has been rescheduled for another hearing on 5/20/09. The Humane Society of the United States has a bill, AB1122, up for hearing before the CA Assembly Appropriations Committee this Wednesday. We appreciate that the bill's sponsor has removed the language that would end Reptile Shows, but this bill still seeks to BAN the outdoor sale of animals in any public place. This would include many different animals INCLUDING Herps. This is an attempt to end ALL outdoor and "face to face" sales that are the basis for much of how the middle and high end of our market distributes animals. It would eliminate almost ALL sales and "midway" transfers in public places. All outdoor sales/transfers would come to an end in CA. [ Hide Replies ]
