OK,
when the first Sharps came about the early stock had really blocky saddles which were usuallly peaked to some level. I heard the B.C.C story but if you look at the true BCC Albinos that have come into this country, they all had really deep red tails and looked closer to Kahl Albinos colorwise than Sharps do. All of the early Sharp stock had more of an orange or burnt orange coloration to them. Like Dan said, there are Clolumbians that have been known to have peaked saddles and it could just be from what area they came out of. Who knows if somewhere down the line a little BCC blood got into the bloodline as there are no fences dividing the areas and locals. All I know is what I said above, that the few true BCC Albinos that have made it into the states all had really red markings not orange like the Sharps do.
As the hypo blood was introduced to the Sharps, we stated seeing less of the classic blockey peaked saddles but they still usually show atleast a few peaked saddles in each animal and you will still get some that every saddles is peaked just not as common anymore do to the Hypo blood reducing the saddles and the peak-age to I guess. I do like how the Hypo blood is bringing out more reds and purples in the Sharps but an still a sucker for the "Old School" look. I'm glad I still have some animals that are pre Hypo blood and am actually expecting some babies from my very first Sharp albino girl in a few weeks if everything goes ok. She from pre Hypo blood and I hope that reflects on the babies. Hope this helps a little Kenny!
