...Benvenuto al forum (that is almost all the Italian I know). My Rainbow Boas shed two to four times while they are gravid. From what you have written it is difficult to predict whether yours is gravid or not. It is often difficult to determine if snakes are gravid. I do not keep track of shedding dates but I do notice that most E.c.c. litters are born around 5.5 months after the last time I observe the snakes mating. Rainbow Boas will mate over a period of 2 to 5 weeks. Soon after the last observed mating the female will look like she has lumps in the back half of her body. If you hold her up by the forward half of the body with the back half hanging down the lumpiness is often visible along the belly scales. You can also sometimes let the snake crawl between your fingers applying slight pressure up into the body cavity and feel the lumps as they pass your fingers. Each lump is around half the size of a hen's egg. Later in gravidity as the baby snake develops and grows the lump will absorb water and grow to a size a little larger than a hen's egg. Brazilian Rainbow Boas usually quit eating when they first become gravid but will often eat a few smaller meals a couple months later. They also bask more on their sides and back while gravid.
Good luck,
Jeff
