Once gravid, many females will not shed again until after the babies come. But some will. Some rare few can have two sheds between POS and babies. Any more sheds than that would be unlikely and could indicate some sort of problem as that would mean shedding very frequently. Also, that can vary even in an individual from year to year.


Obviously I only have the info you provided but from that I'm still leaning toward this is her POS coming now. Even if the male had not been with her since, the other shed came too soon after mating. And females can retain sperm for even a year.
