simple question on a co dome gene:spider

so what exactly would everyone rather breed a spider to a spider or a normal to a spider. i have read when breeding a spider to another spider it can cause alot of dead hatches and also disfigurmants abut i cant find the info ne where. either way i have been chatting for 2 days now to a kid who thinks its better to breed spiders together so he can get a spider hatch rate of 100% but its turned into a long heated discussion. any info would help!
