Super pastel is the name we give to the apperence of an animal when both of it's genes at the pastel location have the pastel mutation. So a super pastel doesn't have a single super pastel gene, it has two pastel mutant genes (i.e. a super pastel is homozygous pastel). Each baby has a 50% chance as to which of a parent's two copies of each gene it gets but because both copies at the pastel locus are the same with a super pastel we know it will give a pastel mutant copy to all offspring. | ||
