I haven't had any experience with breeding domestic snakes, but I know some wild-caught snakes have had wild clutches that they laid part or all of in their water dishes.
Like most things: It depends.
On how long they were in the water, how rapid of temperature change they go through once taken from the water, the amount of water absorbed, and various microbes they are exposed to.
Right out of memory, I can remember one clutch laid in water hatch. (Bullsnake, I think). We let them "dry" slowly by keeping the humidity in the incubation chamber about 10% below ideal. Then began misting them later on. Come to think of it, we only had about half the babies hatch, perhaps because of mold, but there was recently a post on how to try and kill that off. Perhaps that would increase your chances?
