A short while ago I posted that we mysteriously lost our Male Sunburst Pastel (only male in existence). Well this morning we received a clutch from the Cosmic mother who was bred by her Sunburst Pastel (a double mutation crossing the Cosmic and A Pastel) son. She gave us 6 good eggs and 1 slug and 1 egg that I don't think will make it. We are now really keeping our fingers crossed that we will get another Sunburst male as well as hope we can prove out a super form of the Cosmic mutation. This wait is going to be the worst for us this season (even worse than waiting on eggs to be laid).

Here is a pic of the Sunburst Male breeding his sunburst sister (who we are waiting on eggs from as well. These guys still look like super pastels with their bright coloration and blushing but are a cross and not super pastels.

p.s. There is a seller out there that sold a normal pastel to someone and told them that it was a sunburst. Just to clarify, the Sunburst project is only being worked with by ourselves and N.E.R.D. who has a female Sunburst that originated from our first clutch of them in 2006.
