Codom or Visual Het Recessive

I'm just wondering what you all think of the whole "Visual Het" thing with Yellow Bellies and Het Red Axanthics. I was under the impression that, Recessive hets are not distinguishable from normals(except for the whole het pied markers thing).



Why is it that so many people refer to YBs and HRs as being "het" Red and "Het" Ivories. Shouldn't they be considered Codoms since they change other morphs when combined. For example, a YB Mojave looks different than a normal Mojave. Whereas, a het ghost mojave looks like a normal Mojave. The same is with Het Reds.



So what are they? Codoms or Visual Hets for Recessive? I say Codom but do you disagree?
