Tough one Ryan, hard to know what to do or where to start when confronted with such profound ignorance. When I was a kid, calling my parents WAS the right thing to do, but I have rarely found it effective, dysfunctional or obnoxious kids often have similar parents (or no parents in the house etc.) Keep an eye on those tortoises, and maybe cultivate a few kids (some have to be OK, yes?) to help you out, they tend to know what's going on. If it was anything else, we could just say "shoot, shovel and shutup"...or start a rumor the animals there will give them a terrible disease... good luck with this awkward situation, Vic H.
