The problem you will find is:

1. Finding pure Ruthveni, if that is a perogative! There are plenty of hybrids out there that have been "cleaned".

2. If you aren't on a waiting list, you likely will not be able to obtain pure ones this year. Hopefully you have already solved this issue though

3. In regards to the breeding plan you suggest, I am not sure that the 6" of substrate is required, but I can't imagine it would hurt anything.

Brumation is just a temperature and duration issue, not a timing issue.

In regards to the breeding issues, maybe Ginter or someone else could provide more insight, I haven't succesfully produced eggs from these guys. I have confirmed breedings on several occasions but no viable eggs, so what do I know.
