The piebald black pines originated with Henry Cohen from Buffalo, NY. To make a long story short, they are PURE lodingi. I accomplished the first piebald to piebald breeding in 1994, and since absolutely no interest was shown in the herp breeding community at the time, I traded the offspring out to various breeders, including Louis Porras, Steve Reichling, to name just a couple people. I think they are really cool, something unique, but in all honesty, overpriced. I'm glad to have gotten the chance to be one of two people besides Henry C. who were there way back in '87 when the first ones appeared. Hope this clears things up for you. I'd be happy to answer any more questions you may have.
Peace, Love, and Pits,
