The United States Association of Reptile Keepers would like to welcome Gary Bagnall, CEO and Founder of ZooMed Laboratories, to the USARK Board of Directors. Gary brings 33 years of corporate experience in the Herp Industry as well as a wealth of contacts and resources that will help take USARK to the next level of our development. The missing component to the USARK BOD has been a representative of Herp dry goods and equipment manufacturing. Gary runs the largest company of its kind in the world and has long been dedicated to the best interests of the Herp Industry and Hobby. His innovative ideas, strong work ethic and dedication to excellence are a welcomed asset to USARK and the Reptile Nation.

The unprecedented success that USARK has had in influencing both State and Federal Legislation has inspired Gary, on behalf of ZooMed, to establish a "ZooMed Matching Funds Campaign". As a result, in the first year for every dollar raised by USARK, ZooMed will donate a dollar, up to a total value of a $100,000 donation. Although a total fund of $200,000 falls dramatically short of that available to our opponents in the Animals Rights Movement, USARK is extremely conservative and will spend the majority of this money on lobbyists. This generous grant made by Gary and ZooMed should be utilized to it's full potential. Now, more than ever, USARK needs memberships, and your generous donations. Gary and ZooMed have stepped up to the plate, now it is time for the Reptile Nation to rise to the challenge.
USARK would also like to welcome a powerful addition to our consulting team on Capitol Hill. Vitello Consulting has joined Tom Wolfe in advocating for USARK and the Reptile Nation. Vitello Consulting brings a team of top flight lobbyists to the game. They are intimately familiar with the House Committee on Natural Resources and all its various subcommittees that our issues will come before over and over again. Their insights and connections will help insure that USARK has influence and impact on any issues that we must confront in the federal arena. There is no doubt that USARK has fielded the most powerful team of advocates in the history of our industry.
Frank Vitello
Prior to founding Vitello Consulting in March 2006, Frank Vitello served as chief strategist for the National Fisheries Institute (NFI), the leading trade association representing the seafood community in the United States. His responsibilities included building and developing the industry’s political programs, political giving strategy, messaging and crisis management abilities.
Todd Willens
Todd has more than 15 years extensive experience in the field of public policy as well as legislative and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Vitello Consulting, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of the Interior, providing overall policy direction to the National Park Service and Fish and Wildlife Service.
Notably, Todd served as the Head of Delegation for the United States of America to the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) of Wild Fauna and Flora and also to the 31st Meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Meeting.
Todd served as Senior Policy Director for the United States House of Representatives Committee on Resources. In this capacity he was the senior staff adviser to the Committee’s Chairman and Members on all legislative and policy issues under the Committee’s jurisdiction. He represented the Committee during negotiations with other Committees, House Leadership, the Senate, the Administration, interest groups, and the general public on numerous key issues.
