i bred a pair of double het Burmese pythons again this past season and the laws of genetic theory were in full affect, differing quite a bit from last year.



Both, the male & female, are het albino & het labyrinth. Using the Genetics Wizard, out of 27 eggs, the projected morphs were as follows:



2 - albino labyrinths

5 - normal labyrinths (66% het albino)

5 - albino (66% het labyrinth)

15 - normals (66% het albino/labyrinth)





What I actually got:

0 - albino labyrinths

3 - normal labyrinths

3 - albino

21 - normals









While that's really not too far off the mark, the difference between what I got last year & this year is sobering. Last year, out of 23 eggs, I got:



2 - albino labyrinths

8 - normal labyrinths

4 - albino

10 - normals



I must've used up all of my lucky charms on last year's clutch. Oh well...., it's still a joy to see various morphs from one clutch.
