In your exact yet rambling way I think you are assuming the leftover bird food is tainted with poop?? No, that gets dumped dumped....garbage. What we dump in the rodent bucket is just the flavors some birds leave or the types of seeds they leave but also leave chaff and are not worth refeeding. Kinda like stale cereal....no one else is gonna bother with it but rats think it is yummy.
